Maria's "Future's End"-Special

Several scenes of the 3rd season episode "Future's End" were filmed on location. I thought it would be fun to see what these places look like in reality and during my recent vacation in L.A. I visited the most obvious ones and took a few pictures of them. Here are the results, compared to the pictures from the episode:

"We could have worn our Starfleet uniforms"	They are standing on that ramp in front of the right corner tower of the building, which houses a carousel on Santa Monica pier. The balustrade they are leaning on is clearly visible in the picture.

	They are coming down the ramp in the foreground...


	The boys come out from under that pier. Once they are in the open, the Ferris wheel on the pier as well as the roller coaster become visible. Janeway and Chakotay, on the other hand, seem to be standing on the pier, right next to the roller coaster.


	They are standing closer to the pier and the carousel, but that's the beach promenade - where people can bike or run on their roller blades...
	They are leaning against this balustrade - maybe not that exact same spot, but close by, and looking down on the beach and the pier. The Ferris wheel is still visible in the background...

Here you can read "Dorothy Chandler Pavilion" on the column in the foreground. That's what helped me find the correct place...
