Awards

Over the years Tim's work has caught the eyes of many people and it has won him several awards.

  • "Of Gods and Men" won the 2008 Syfy Portal Genre Award for Best Web Production
  • "Bugsters!", the audio book for children which Tim wrote, produced and performed, won "Parenting"-magazine's "Gold Award for Best Children's Audio Book Ages 4 and up" in 2003.
  • The public service announcement he wrote, "The Zone", won him the Sony Innovators Award
  • For his portrayal of a dual role in the play "Barrabas" at L.A.'s Theater Center he won the NAACP Image Award
  • His independent movie "East of Hope Street" won a whole series of awards:
    • Best Feature Film (New Orleans Urban Film Festival 1998)
    • Best Actor Award for Jade Herrera (New Orleans Urban Film Festival 1998)
    • Best Urban Drama (New York Int'l Independent Film Festival 1998)
    • 1st Place Cross Cultural (Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame Festival 1998)
    • Jury Award at the Hollywood Black Film Festival '99
    • and Official Selection at Los Angeles Latino Int'l Film Festival 1998,San Diego World Film Festival 1998, Maine Int'l Film Festival 1998 and Temecula Valley Int'l Film Festival 1998)
    • The film has been nominated by the Political Film Society for an award as the best film exposé of 1999 and the best film promoting consciousness of the need for greater democracy
  • In 1998 the Museum of African American History in Detroit, Michigan dedicated a brick in their museum in honor of Tim.
